I am pleased to welcome you to the web site of Chunghyeon Museum, the only museum about a jongga("house of the head family") in Korea . Please come and feel the traces of our ancestors and the Seonbi culture(traditional scholastic culture of Korea) of the Joseon Dynasty.

The museum is devoted to maintaining and handling down the Seonbi culture of the Joseon Dynasty, not only limited to preserving and exhibiting the relics left by our ancestors.

Although, with the lapse of time, many of the relics pertaining to Yi Wonik had disappeared, the exhibitions were made possible through enthusiastic maintenance and arrangement of the remaining artifacts and remains for a few years. This web site is organized to provide information about the museum with ease. Please explore this web site to look around our collections and learn about the culture of our ancestors.

As a descendant of the head family as well as the Korean people, I will try to honor the tradition of my family, and introduce our valuable cultural properties to the public.
